WSIB 2010 Preliminary Premium Rates
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) has frozen premiums for most construction employers in 2010. In an effort to help businesses offset the effects of a difficult economic climate, the WSIB opted to freeze premiums for employers with good health-and-safety records. According to WSIB, this new methodology means that more than 200,000 employers across Ontario will see their premium rates maintained at 2009 levels. The remaining 36,000 companies will face rate increases.
